– 1 cup mutton keema
– 1 cup basmati rice
– 1 cup chana dal

– 2 green chilies, chopped
– 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 1/2 cup yogurt
– 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
– 1 tsp red chili powder
– 1 tsp garam masala
– 1 tsp cumin seeds
– 4-5 cloves
– 2-3 cardamom pods
– 1 cinnamon stick
– 3-4 cups water
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
– 2 tbsp ghee

Recipe:
1. In a large pot, heat the ghee and add the whole spices (cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick).
2. Once they splutter, add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
3. Add the mutton keema to the pot and cook until it changes color.
4. Then, add the ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomato, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
5. In a separate pot, boil the chana dal until it’s half cooked, then add it to the mutton mixture.
6. In a separate bowl, whisk the yogurt and add it to the pot. Cook for a few minutes until the oil separates.
7. Add the rice and water to the pot and cook until the rice is almost done.
8. Once the rice is almost cooked, lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer until the rice is fully cooked and the water has evaporated.
9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
