With Dasara round the corner, a sweet recipe is must. So here is wheat flour gulabjam. This is one of most requested recipes. We already have seed 2-3 gulabjam recipes like khava gulabjam, upwas gulabjam, rava gulabjam, bread gulabjam etc. Today we are making gulabkjam using wheat flour. This is a real quick recipe and you just can’t guess that these are made from wheat flour. These turn out perfectly like khava gulabjam. This is a good option for maida gulabjam. • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup Milk powder
• A pinch of Salt
• Cardamom powder
• 2 pinches of Baking soda
• 2 tsp Ghee
• 1/4 cup + 1 tsp Milk
• 1 cup Sugar
• 3/4 cup Water

• Sieve wheat flour, milk powder, salt, cardamom powder, baking soda together in a dish and
add ghee.
• You can use dalda or vanaspati ghee in place of ghee.
• Mix everything well together until the mixture is crumbly.
• Sieve the mixture again into a dish. Do not miss this step.
• Add a little milk at a time and knead medium consistency dough.
• Cover and rest the dough for about 5 minutes.
• For making sugar syrup take sugar in a pan and add water.
• Heat up the pan and bring the mixture to boil.
• When sugar is completely dissolved and mixture is boiled well, turn off the gas and keep the
sugar syrup aside.
• For making gulabjam take the dough and knead it once to make smooth and even.
• Take small portion from the dough and roll gulabjam.
• You can decide the size of the gulabjam.
• For frying the gulabjam heat up oil on low to medium heat.
• Drop gulabjam in hot oil and fry well on low heat until these get nice reddish color from all
• When gulabjam get nice, even reddish color from all sides take them out, drain excess oil and
transfer into hot syrup.
• Cook the gulabjam in the syrup for about 3-4 minutes.
• Turn off the gas and cover the gulabjam for about 15-20 minutes so that the syrup will get
nicely absorbed into it.
• Wheat flour gulabjam are all ready.
• You can make around 20-22 medium size gulabjam from the mixture.
