– 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
– 1 tsp of coriander powder
– 1/2 tsp of cumin powder
– 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
– 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds
– 3-4 curry leaves
– 3 tbsp of oil
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Recipe:
1. Marinate the fish with turmeric powder and salt. Set aside for 15 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a deep pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.
3. Add the chopped onions and green chilies, and sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
4. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
5. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
6. Add the red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Cook for a minute.
7. Add 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
8. Add the tamarind paste and salt. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
9. Gently slide in the marinated fish and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.
